Islamic associations in Luxembourg, a discreet but lively presence from the end of the 19th century

This lecture will address the establishment and development of Islamic associations in Luxembourg from a historical perspective. We will present the main stages in the creation of Islamic associations since the 1980s and their specificities. Indeed, Islamic associations are diverse and the Islamic religious landscape in movement. Finally, we will discuss the specificities of these associations, notably the Balkan predominance since the arrival of Muslims in the 1990s following the wars in the Balkans.
