The exhibition “Born to be wild?” questions the development of youth cultures. How does the protest and non-conformist behaviour of youths change from the 1950s until today? In which way are the current ideas we share on the reality of the youth of the past determined by nostalgia? How does the consumer society influence the definition of what is considered to be “young”?
Photos, leaflets, posters, clothes, audiovisual material, BRAVO magazine excerpts, interviews and artistic creations illustrate the exhibition themes. The testimonies of various youth cultures in Luxembourg from the 50s onwards allow visitors to relive certain significant moments of their youth!
