Peter Newman's Skystation (2009) entered the Mudam Collection in 2010. Previously installed in the city centre, it has just been restored and is now on long-term loan between the Mudam and the Lëtzbuerg City Museum.
Skystation is an interactive public sculpture by internationally acclaimed artist Peter Newman, inspired by Le Corbusier’s LC4 chaise-longue, that also acts as a piece of public seating. The contours of the work fit the reclining human form and encourage contemplation of the vast expanse of space above.
