The urban district of Pfaffenthal is amongst the most ancient of the city of Luxembourg. Around 50 extraordinary objects, photographs and documents showcase the history of the district from its beginnings up to present day.
The exhibition covers the archeology, the ancient fortifications, earlier craftsmanship and industrial activities, religious and community life, sporting and cultural events as well as artistic representations of the district.
A three-dimensional interactive application will offer a virtual visit of the urban district of Pfaffenthal prior to the dismantlement of the fortress in 1867. Embodying historical personalities, visitors can walk through the historic streets of the suburb.
