The exhibition reveals the eminent role of the archives by displaying key pieces from the documentary holdings of the City Archives. It retraces the history of their formation from the Middle Ages to the digital files of today and presents the wide variety of documents likely to be found there: old parchments and manuscripts, account books and registers, administrative correspondence, posters, plans and maps.
